Michelle has worked as a dog trainer in Washington, DC since 2006, with three years at the Washington Animal Rescue League (now Humane Rescue Alliance) where she served as the Behavior and Training Director. She has extensive experience working with a wide variety dogs and behavior issues. Michelle particularly enjoys training aggressive dogs, new rescues, and puppies!

That's real dog training :)
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys hiking in Rock Creek Park with her dogs, training her own dogs (she has achieved many titles including CGC, trick dogs titles, and therapy dog titles), volunteering as a dog trainer for DC area dog rescues, and working on her national brand, www.savvycitydog.com.

To keep up with her dog trainer continuing education requirements, and because she enjoys it, she can frequently be found watching dog training DVDs, YouTube videos, and reading books and articles on dog training and behavior. Her personal "dog training library" includes over 100 books and DVDs, only the best of which she recommends to her clients.
