DC Dog Trainer Michelle Yue, CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA

Best DC Dog Training
Michelle Yue is the trainer at Good Dog DC.  She is a CBCC-KA.  This is a very difficult exam with a pass rate of only 56%.

"To become a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine - Knowledge Assessed® (CBCC-KA) consultants must have at least 500 hours of consulting and provide five recommendations with at least one being from a veterinarian, a client, and a colleague. In addition, they must pass an independent, psychometrically sound and science-based exam to demonstrate knowledge in Applied Behavior Analysis, Biology and Anatomy, Ethology, Body Language & Observational Skills, Health, Development, Life Stages, Consulting Skills & Best Practices and Scientific Method."

She is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer.  You can read more about either one of these international certifications here http://ccpdt.org/index.php.
Michelle has worked as a dog trainer in Washington, DC since 2006, with three years at the Washington Animal Rescue League where she served as the Behavior and Training Director.  She has extensive experience working with a wide variety dogs and behavior issues.  Michelle particularly enjoys training aggressive dogs, new rescues, and, of course, puppies!
Best DC Dog Trainer
Being a dog trainer in DC keeps Michelle busy full-time!  During her time off, she enjoys hiking in Rock Creek Park with her dogs, training her own dogs (both of her dogs are Canine Good Citizens, her GSD has also passed his therapy dog certification), or volunteering as a dog trainer for DC area shelters and rescues.  She actively trains her own dogs and is currently involved in AKC competition obedience, agility, and trick dog training.

To keep up with her dog trainer continuing education requirements and because she enjoys it, in her spare time, she can frequently be found watching dog training DVDs, YouTube videos, and reading books and articles on dog training and behavior.  Her personal "dog training library" includes over 100 books and DVDs, only the best of which she recommends to her clients.
